Michał Tkaczyk

The menu of The ROOTS Bar and more was created by Michał Tkaczyk – chef in Elixir by Dom Wódki and a professional with over 20 years of experience. He started his career in 1992 in the Italian restaurant **Michelin Miramonti L'altro, then he worked under the watchful eye of Kurt Scheller in the newly-opened Bristol Hotel in Warsaw in Malinowa – one of the best restaurants in Warsaw at that time.

In 1999 in the Holiday Inn Hotel in Warsaw, he got his first experience as a sous-chef (he worked in this position for 5 years) and then as a gastronomy manager. The passion for cooking, however, took over and in 2008 he became the sous-chef in the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw and then he was offered to come back, after 12 years, to one of the most prestigious hotels in Warsaw – the Bristol Luxury Collection – as the Executive Chef. In 2014, after being introduced to the concept of Dom Wódki, he decided to take up the challenge of creating the Elxir restaurant and combining two worlds into a harmonious whole (foodpairing): his original food and vodkas. In the meantime he actively helped with the openings of Sheraton hotels in Poznań and Sopot and a private restaurant in Dubai.
